This is a picture of a R-40, and these cars serve the B,N,W, and are very rarely used on the D, and during the summer, they are used on garbage collection trains. These cars are very easy to distinguish due to the 15 degree slants on the A end of the cars ( the A end or number one end of these cars are where the motorman’s cabs are). The rolling stock numbers for the R40’s aka the slants range from 4150 to 4449.
